Cruising fans of hockey rejoice everywhere!
The NHL and broadcast company Sport 24 have agreed to continue its coverage of hockey through 2025. Sport 24 is owned by IMG and provides onboard and in-flight broadcast coverage of many sporting events.
As part of the agreement, the network will show 250 live games per season, including the Stanley Cup playoffs (including the finals), the winter classic and the all-star game.
“The NHL is one of the most prestigious global sport organizations,” said IMG Senior Vice President Richard Wise. “This deal is another example of our commitment to North American sports to better serve our airline and cruise ship partners across this market. We’re delighted to bolster our international portfolio and continue to deliver thrilling live action from some of the best ice-hockey teams in the world to fans across the skies and seas.”
Through IMG, Sport 24 makes live sports action available across many of your favorite cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, Princess, Virgin Voyages and many others.
